Currently in the US, if you are a non-driver, you don't matter. Our world is designed for CARS and our lives are whored out to needing to afford a CAR and a home designed for a nuclear family with a breadwinner father with a serious career, homemaker mother and 2.5 minor kids and never mind that's a huge mismatch for actual demographics.
